Wedding Knight

I DON’T know if you’ve noticed, but there seems to be some kind of wedding ceremony taking place this Friday, which appears to have caused a bit of excitement across the nation.

Well, that excitement has spread to the pages of this week’s Dandy, which not only features the lovely wedding-themed cover above, but a crown-full of wedding based wonder inside – including some make-your-own confetti!

The wedding wonder has even crept into this week’s George vs Dragon, wherein that metal-clad moron George is put on guard duty for the big day:

Needless to say, things don’t run according to plan. Tsk.

If you don’t care for weddings, no matter how big, glamorous and expensive they are, then never fear! I’ve also got a brand-new mini-strip in this week’s issue, featuring that Norse nitwit, the not-so mighty Thor! (Not to be confused with the Thor currently starring in his own big-screen adventure, of course!)

It was only after finishing this strip that I remembered that The Dandy already had a Thor-based character in it’s vaults, Thor Thumb – I could have just bought him back instead of designing a new one! Doh! Well, there you go – hopefully you’ll like this version!

UPDATE! Oooh, top geek-centric news site Bleeding Cool has run a little story about my Thor! See it HERE! ZOUNDS!

And finally, in the darkest, creepiest corner of this week’s issue, Grampire returns, after last week’s absence!

And there’s a lovely bit of Grampire fanart in this issue too, with a lovely picture by Christine Fraser from Monifieth. HOORAY!

As well as all that, there’s more Justin Beaver by my pal Stu Munro (featuring a nice little Dragon cameo, no less!), Korky by Phil Corbett and MORE. Yes, MORE!

Day of the George

HAPPY ST. GEORGE’S DAY!

Why not celebrate by picking up the latest issue of The Dandy, which features a St. George’s Day-themed episode of George vs Dragon, in which the origin of this particular holiday is revealed?

Sort of.

It’s out in shops NOW, priced £2.50 for a 44-page bumper issue! Go on, treat yourself. It’s what St. George would have wanted.

The Doctor Is In(ked)

DOCTOR WHO returns to our screens TONIGHT, and to celebrate the occasion (which I’m more excited about than any thirty-two year-old man should be) I knocked up the little doodle above, revealing what I suspect to be the big twist behind the whole ‘Silence Will Fall’ mystery of this year’s series.

You mark my words, the above will DEFINITELY happen.

Tune into BBC One tonight at 6pm (or BBC America at 9/8C) and see if I’m right!
