Fireworks Knight
REMEMBER, REMEMBER, the fifth of November….why? Because there’s a special Fireworks Night-based edition of The Dandy out NOW, that’s why!
Inside you’ll find some great fireworks-themed strips, such as Harry Hill by Nigel Parkinson, Korky the Cat by Phil Corbett, and Postman Prat by Lew Stringer, all ready to make you go ‘ooooooh’ and ‘ahhhhhhh’ from the comfort of your own house.
Meanwhile, this week’s George vs Dragon is absolutely NOTHING to do with fireworks night, instead focusing on Dragon’s birthday – and a nasty birthday surprise is in store for him from a certain knight…
However, I did do George vs Dragon involving fireworks, but it saw print way back in July. Yeah, I know, that makes no sense. But seeing as it is now November the 5th, I thought I’d reprint it HERE for you to enjoy on the day itself! HOORAY! (Click to enlarge).
Happy Bonfire Night, everyone! And be safe!

Ha-Ha-Ha-Halloween
IT’S LESS of a case of ‘trick or treat’ and more a case of ‘treat or treat’ in this week’s Dandy, as it’s a fun-packed Halloween special full of spooky delights!
I’m pleased to say that I’ve got two strips in this creepiest of comics, kicking off with the return of the world’s stupidest spook, Boo!, in a two-page tale of TERROR:
Also, look out for a sneaky cameo by one of my other creepy characters!…
Boo! also gets the privilege of hosting this week’s contents page, so any fans of the gormless ghoul will be in for a treat! It’s only a one-off appearance for now, but if you want more Boo! be sure to let The Dandy know, and maybe he’ll float back into the comic in the future!
There’s also more George vs Dragon this week, with useless wizard Wirlin back to try and help George get rid of Dragon, with naturally rubbish results. Oh, Wirlin!
The terrifying treats continue throughout the issue, with spooky strips for Korky the Cat, by fearsome Phil Corbett, Harry Hill by nefarious Nigel Parkinson, Postman Prat, by loathsome Lew Stringer and a gruesomely grotesque Madvert for ‘My Little Zombie’ by scary Stu Munro.
So, why not be brave and pick up The Dandy, out NOW for a mere £1.50!
It’s FRIGHTFULLY funny! Mwah-hahahahahahahahahahahurgh*cough cough*hurrrrrrrgh.

Cover Stars!
IT’S HAPPENED! Almost a year after their first appearance in The Dandy, George and Dragon manage to sneak their way onto the front cover of this week’s issue (see above). HURRAH!
Meanwhile, inside the comic, George vs Dragon follows George’s latest hair-brained scheme to catch his fire-breathing foe, which involves setting up a (not so) cunning trap….
PLUS! I’ve also done an X Factor-based Madvert for this issue (featuring a cameo for The Doctor), and this week also sees the last in the current run for Dave the Squirrel! Awwwwwww! Bye-bye, Dave!
But don’t fret, he’ll still pop up in numerous cameos in my other strips, I’m sure. He always manages to sneak in somehow. But if you want to see him return in his own strip, then let The Dandy know – it’s your comic, chums!
Elsewhere in this issue we have more My Own Genie by Jamie Smart, Postman Prat by Lew Stringer, Bananaman by Wayne Thompson and another Turtle Wipeout by Stu Munro. PLUS! Some spooky-wooky Halloween themed gifts! WoooooOOOOOooooooh! All for just £2.50! BARG.
Talking of Halloween, next issue sees the return of stupid spook Boo!, in a one-off, two-page Halloween special. So be sure to pick that issue up as well…..IF YOU DARE! Mwaaaaahaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaa! (Seriously though, please do pick it up, it’s great).
